Assos have been founded in the 10 th Century BC by the people of Metymna who emigrated from the island of Lesvos.Today Assos developed into an important cultural and touristical center.Travelers all over the world come to admire the temple of Athena and the mystical city of Troy & Pergamon where they are transported to the glories of antiquity.
